In recognition of Manufacturing Week, BHSD 228 students toured six local manufacturers and industry partners to explore modern production, advanced technology and the wide range of careers available close to home.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Delta Academy at South Suburban College welcomed Jose Villarruel, president of JV Design and Manufacturing, a Hispanic-owned elevator company serving the Midwest.

Born in Mexico, Villarruel shared his inspiring journey with students, including how he overcame challenges and worked tirelessly to build a successful career despite many challenges he had to overcome in his youth. His story encouraged students to remain determined, work hard and continue pursuing their goals.

We sincerely thank Villarruel for spending time with our students, answering their questions and sharing the experiences that shaped his path to success.

Bremen High School District 228 proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of its new Administration Center and, with it, the opening of the District's first dedicated Board of Education meeting room.

For the first time in District history, the Board of Education has a permanent space designed for public meetings, governance, and community engagement. This room will serve as the setting for important decisions that guide the District and support students, staff, and families for generations to come.

We thank everyone who joined us in commemorating this significant milestone.
