The Tinley Park High School Girls Soccer Team proudly hosted its 2nd Annual "Forever On Our Roster" Breast Cancer Awareness Game on Monday, April 29th, in honor of Christine Hermann, a beloved 2011 graduate and former player. The heartfelt event brought together students, alumni, and community members to raise awareness and support for breast cancer patients and survivors.

Held on the home field at Tinley Park High School, the evening served not only as a tribute to Christine’s strength and spirit but also as a successful fundraising effort for the OSF Beverly Breast Cancer Walk and Cancer Center. The team raised over $2,700, with 100% of proceeds directly benefiting the center in Christine’s name.

Supporters contributed through several activities, including raffle basket entries, a 50/50 “Split the Pot” drawing, and custom t-shirt sales. More than 55 generous community members and local businesses donated gift cards, products, and services to create over 40 raffle prizes — highlighting the powerful spirit of local giving.

“We’re proud to keep Christine’s memory alive and on the field with us, said Kelsey Neylon, TPHS Varsity Girls Soccer Coach. Chrissy is the definition of a Titan Soccer player, mentally and physically tough as nails with a heart and soul made of gold. She is what we hope to develop in all of our girls.”

Christine was a decorated soccer player at Tinley Park High School earning three consecutive years of All Conference and All Sectional player awards, as well as leading her team to multiple championships throughout her tenure. “This event is about more than soccer—it’s about honoring her legacy and bringing together the community to help others in the fight,” Neylon added.

The Titan Soccer Coaches and Program are committed to instilling grit, resilience, and camaraderie in their players—showing them that this is more than just a game; it’s a sisterhood. Through this benefit game, they aim to live out those values on and off the field.

The TPHS Titan Soccer Team plans to continue this tradition annually, keeping Christine "forever on our roster" and making an impact in the community for years to come.
