The Tinley Park High School National Honor Society (NHS) proudly celebrated the success of its first annual “Film on the Field” fundraiser, held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
The event drew nearly 150 attendees to the school’s turf football field for a screening of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse under the stars. Students, families, and community members spread out across the field with blankets, enjoying pizza, popcorn, and candy as they watched the movie together.
As the National Honor Society’s service event, funds were raised through admission sales, concessions, and raffle prizes, totaling $1,000 to benefit Tinley Wish, a local charity that supports families in need during the holiday season. NHS members will proudly present the donation check to Tinley Wish representatives at their next meeting.
“We’re incredibly proud of how our first Film on the Field came together,” said Pietro Sansone, NHS Sponsor. “The turnout exceeded expectations, and it was inspiring to see our NHS students’ leadership and our community unite for a fun night that also supports Tinley Wish. We look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come.”
The Tinley Park High School NHS extends its thanks to Ed & Joe’s Pizza for their generous pizza donation and to the local businesses that contributed raffle prizes, helping make the evening a memorable success.
