Returning to In-Person Learning this Fall!

Returning to In-Person Learning this Fall!

May 27, 2021

District 228 Students and Families,

Thank you for your continued patience and resilience as we have battled through the COVID-19 pandemic together. At last, it seems like we are returning to normalcy.

Last week, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) passed a resolution which supports schools as they plan to open at full capacity and with fully in-person learning in the fall.

Therefore, I am excited to announce that we will be able to welcome all of our students back into our buildings this fall.

As the 2021-2022 school year approaches, I will continue to monitor and keep you posted on all school specific health and safety guidelines that we may be required to follow next year.

For now, I welcome the good news and wish our students the best as they head into what is hopefully a relaxing and enjoyable summer.

Additionally, I encourage our students to take advantage of the many summer opportunities we are offering. These opportunities include summer school, free summer enrichment programs, and summer athletics. Please click here to learn more and view these opportunities in detail.

Thank you,

Dr. Brad Sikora
