ABOUT THE PROGRAM
At the end of the preschool day, the teachers prepare a little snack for the little ones. They are taught to think of nutritious snack for the preschoolers. The teachers also share with them the new and different types of food to try. In some cases, the snack might be a lesson for that day. Throughout the preschool year, each preschooler will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a teacher. This is called Individualized Instruction (created by Dr. Jane Crossley, FACS supervisor, 1985-2004). The teacher will work closely with a preschooler and work on things that particular child needs. It can be things such as writing, counting, or reading. It could be things such as tying a shoe, working on buttons, or learning to thread a needle. Either way, the preschooler will receive a little one-on-one time as they grow and develop throughout the preschool year. <- Back |
