THE DIRECTOR

     Mark B. Furstenau, a member of the Family and Consumer Science Department, has been the lead teacher and director for the OFHS Childcare program since 1998.  He came to the south suburban area after graduating with a B.S. from Brigham Young University (1996) and a teaching certificate from Northern Illinois University (1998).  He has continued his education by completing a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University (2001) and a M.A. in Educational Administration from Governor State University (2003).  He is married and has two children.
