COURSE OBJECTIVES
     After successfully completing this course, the student is expected to...

1. become aware of the many types of childcare programs and the personal requirements needed to become an early childhood teacher.

2. understand the characteristics of children as different ages which will included an overview of their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.

3. learn guidelines for establishing and enforcing rules throughout the classroom.

4. identify and create ways to make the childcare environment safe and healthy.

5. identify and demonstrate various teaching techniques that will create learning experiences for the preschooler.

6. become aware of how to plan daily lesson plans for the preschoolers.

7. become aware of various teaching techniques needed to work with the special needs.
