Negotiations & Labor/Management Committee
Mrs. Stearns, Chair This committee meets with the teachers association or the support staff association to consider/negotiate wishes for inclusion in or exclusion from the next teacher or support staff contract. Money is a major factor and each item is discussed in detail. A federal mediator suggested this committee to assure open dialogue between staff (teachers or support staff association), administration, and the Board of Education. As concerns are aired and the possible solutions suggested, agreements are made and, thus, strike potentials are lessened. This committee meets as needed, prior to each Board meeting.
